Stagg Conference Vendor

Stagg has had a vending table for a few years now at this conference on Popular Culture. He hangs out and talks to people all day. He sells some of his stuff and it's pretty cool. We both made small paintings for the conference. Mine are of movie company logos. I also made a prototype for home stupa kits. You can see one stupa kit on display right by Stagg in the above photo.

We packed the art in a suitcase and off we go. The train is great because we can take two suitcases. One for clothes one for art!

McCarthy Society Loves To Eat!

We are at SADIES on Eubank in Albuquerque. Left side of table, Stagg, Darryl, Allen, Katherine, Wallis. Right side of table/photo, Richard (from Dublin) Kelly, Rick, Robert. Darryl and Robert are friends of Rick's in Miami. Darryl presented a paper and then both Robert and Darryl are musicians and they joined the Dead Sessions at conference. Sadies was really good Mexican food.

We are at Route 66 Diner. We all had chicken friend steak. From the left, Rick, Richard, Stagg, me, Allen, Wallis.

Spencer And Marmelade

Oh my god this book is huge!!! Over 700 pages for Spenser's THE FAERIE QUEEN. I'm reading it with a group online. I'll add the link here too. Of course half the book is notes and definitions so we will see. We are taking two months to read and discuss the poem.

Townes van Zandt - Snowin' on Raton

See post below as we wandered around Raton New Mexico last week. Our friend Eugene pointed out this relevant song! Oh we love you Townes Van Zandt!!!!

A Place To Spread Your Wings, Raton, New Mexico!

Meet your new spokesmodel for plows and coffins. We didn't notice the store wares when we took this pic.
Our train ride to New Mexico, on Southwest Chief, had several delays on the way west. We had a stop over for a couple of hours in a small town called Raton. I thought it was an amazing place that was really trying to build it's own new economy. I thought it would be such a cool place if you were in your 20's or 30's to make something happen like galleries, businesses and build more community. we took a ton of photos. One idea several neighboring towns had was a bicycle comedy train tour. How cool!
