B Movie Gets A+

I thought that the movie of The A Team was gonna be a bit fun, but I didn't expect to really really enjoy it so much. Great comic and action writing with really good actors makes this movie work. It's got a little bit of everything you want in an action film.

One of my very favourite move characters EVER is Jim Huttons SGT Petersen in The Green Berets. SGT Petersen was a little bit like the character Radar in M*A*S*H by being a total salvager for his troop. Well, this movie version of The A Team has a character with a similar vibe to Huttons classic character. Sharto Copley plays CPt "Howling Mad" Murdock and is a delightful actor and makes crazy so cute and fun. Bradley Cooper and Liam Neeson are strong, funny and charismatic. It's just fantastic to see Liam Neeson in such a lighthearted fun movie for a change.

Anniversary

I have documented and been in and around a lot of protests in my life...but I will tell you...there is something about this one that just feels different. As soon as we approached the groups things felt very down to earth and real. Calm. I believe this is a calm before a social spiritual change. I know...that must sound crazy, but I believe this has been formulating in a paradigm shift for a long time. It's Stagg's and my anniversary today. We got all dolled up in Las Vegas three years ago...and this felt like the most wonderful way to celebrate. I am so inspired by the folks who are able to get out and make a statement about the inequality of our culture. We brought some bottled water and snacks...and these folks have been standing all day...it just didn't feel like enough. I am torn up...i just want to take and make food for them all day long. Please please please...if this is a confusing or weird concept these people are doing...try to go right to an urban centre and talk to people. I really believe you will want to help them at least by saying hello and "hang in there" and if you can....by donating food or water. And you...a lot of people in power are wondering if this will go away as soon as the weather changes. I will not be surprised if it keeps on going...and then, they will need tarps and down feather sleeping bags...




Whats a revolution without some imbibing right?


Wow, we stopped off for a beer and cocktail and you know, we haven't been out much lately so it just felt great to be out in the city. It's our sixth anniversary of being together and third anniversary of getting hitched in Vegas.

Occupy Chicago 3 Weeks Strong!

I am going to pick up some food today some bags of trail mx, and some fruit...and try to find some extra clothes around here and blankets to take down to donate to the people in Occupy Chicago.

The idea is the best donation one can make is "to donate yourself"...but if that is not possible there are outlets online for donating.
