Not so sure i would agree with your characterization of the paining as a massive accomplishment. The artist certainly has a good point to make -- the seeming indifference of Canadian politicians to the murder of so many Native women. And though rather crude and crass, i am okay with the imagery. But i don't see anything new and innovative in the work to render it a massive accomplishment. i guess i'm seeing it more like a cartoon we used to find on the editorial page of some newspapers such as "This is a White Man's Government" by Thomas Nast in 1868. https://www.britannica.com/biography/Thomas-Nast
To be sure, the image is striking and worthy of attention for the message it conveys. But he is not the first person to paint the sky blue....Also interesting to read that it was mainly Native women who strongly objected to the painting.
