Front Stoop Garden

 We enjoyed an accidental tomato crop last year so we thought we'd try to grow some things again this year. Last year I thought I had got a basil plant...but then it started looking more and more like a tomato plant...which it was and we had a dozen tomatoes from it. So I picked up a bunch more pots and plants. I amy have made a grave error because I bought some chili plants. They have names like "ghost chili" and "scorpion chili". Dangerous names usually mean spicy. Apparently the fellow who started these peppers in a local greenhouse had to wear gloves to handle the seeds. Uh oh.

 There is Stagg near the bbq.

 We also thought we would experiment with a "topsy turvy" tomato planter...it's hanging on our wrought iron fence.

More Music At Work

Sometimes we play music in quiet times at work in the bar. 

Hoofer Dance

 I have been taking two tap dance classes a week. This is my Tuesday night class. I've just started another session of classes. I love it plus I love the work out. I also love our teacher. When I first started the dance classes I had no balance, no stamina. The routines seemed very complicated and memory challenging lol. Now I have some energy and can do classes in a  row!

New Bakery

A new French bakery, BEURRAGE.  opened in our neighborhood this week. Best coffee I've had in Chicago. Two women from the Netherlands were in the cafe  doing a research project about gentrification. They are using Toronto and Chicago as survey subjects and we did their survey!

The croissants and quiche were delicious. Stagg loved the place! And again...the best coffee I've had now in Chicago. Beurrage is at 1248 18th Street, Pilsen, Chicago.

ARC IRIS

My co-worker's girlfriend directed and animated this music video. His name is Jay and her name is Anne Beal.

I think the song and band, ARC IRIS, are really remarkable and wonderful. The video is lovely.

I hope you have time to watch the video and share it with people. This band is so new they don't even have a Wikipedia page.
