Hmm...I think it's more a sign of impatience with a genre..which often is an indicator of "old age" heh heh... I love rap and haven't got tired of it...but then, I don't tend to get tired of genre...I think we are still seeing all kinds of innovation and special sounds coming out of the rap scene. (by the way, the new Gnarls Barkley is brilliant!)

Most people forget that you can't "sound like a colour"...and that the idea of "race" is a social construct. Skin colour differences are a result of a superficial adaptation to environment ONLY. Skin colour is something superficial, it does not dictate music, sound, clothes, or personality or genre...

In fact...the concept of "race" is a modern urban myth...there is only one race...the human race.

Just wait till one day you meet an Native American with a heavy Brooklyn accent...it can be a paradigm shift for sure...

I love this track (and the later Gnarls Barkley too). Thanks for posting it. (those kids at the top of the video made me want to cry at their absolute sweetness)
