Are there many "Mexican and American" food joints around? I wonder if it's similar to the phenomenon of "Chinese and Canadian" food that spread across Canada in our youth.
My favourite food sign ever used to be on the highway that runs along the south side of the Upper Michigan Peninsula. It simply says FOOD.
