Grizzly Man

One of my favourite directors, Werner Herzog (Fitzcaraldo, Aguire, Kasper Hauser) made this documentary about a wilderness nut. I watched it the other day, it is one of my sisters favourite movies. Grizzly Man was made a year before Steve irwin died...now it seems super spooky this documentary.

And here we have Klaus Kinski, one of the great crazies of all time. God rest his soul.

Have seen the top one but what is the second one? It reminds me of Lord of the Rings..

Steve Irwin was Australian. This only goes to show that nobody is perfect and Stingray's are best left to Troy Tempest.

Mind you Aqua Marina was very fit for a puppet....

I've heard that Into the Wild would be a good companion piece for Grizzly Man (which was really very good, and chilling at times). Have you seen them both now? Do they make a good double bill?

Wrath of God looks to be a worthwhile film - !!! Then some.

I admire Irwin and the Grizzly Man for dying for what they loved. It seems a shame for life to be cut off so early - I wish that their passion could be bottled and put in the drinking water of everyone who is cruel or careless when it comes to animals. We are a part of them as creation, but need to remember they are wild, too! But sometimes it takes a martyr as with other situations to bring attention. Sometimes man or woman feels so much kinship with a certain animal, or animals, they must go where few others go.
