Cheer Up, It Might Not Be Too Late...

So you go to watcha comedy show to cheer up...but this interview was fairly depressing on Bill Maher the other night. Sachs does say there are some things we could do...especially if we stopped spending moeny on war...

Meanwhile Bush and Hillary Clinton want to invade the only democratic country in the middle east do these people study history at all?

"I want the Iranians to know that if I'm the president, we will attack Iran," Clinton said. "In the next 10 years, during which they might foolishly consider launching an attack on Israel, we would be able to totally obliterate them."

You know how much I like Hillary, but that comment about Iran... Man, that's when she lost me. Totally, irrevocably lost me. I'll give her the benefit of the doubt -- after all, she might have been put up to it by some idiot strategist who still thinks that playing on terrorist fears is the way to get the vote. On the other hand, she can make up her own mind, and this is such a huge mis-step. Appalling.

Yes, I know you like Hillary, Red...sorry to find this comment of hers...I don't want to be a dream smasher...but the Clinton-Bush dynasty is a total buzzkill.

There is something seriously wrong with Hillary Clinton, just watch her talking...makes my skin crawl...

Candy, I fear that we have already passed the tipping point at which our species has become an infestation of the planet. Our planet is now like a pepper plant in the garden overrun with aphids. In the case of the planet, however, it is the species not the planet that will be destroyed. The planet has an immense capacity to cleanse itself and right itself. In this case it will cleanse itself of us and right itself. After we are gone, the air will freshen. The waters will purify. There will be new species to replace the ones we have destroyed--new species to replace us. So fear not. All will be well over the course of geologic time. It's just that we will no longer be around to enjoy the wellness.
