The Botany of Desire

PBS has an awesome adaptation of Michael Pollan's The Botany of Desire. If you get a chance check out the program. Each segment follows the symbiotic relationship of humans to four plants, the tulip, marijuana, the potato and the apple. All from the plants point of view.

All this time we have just been used by these plants. I feel so dirty.

:)

Excellent!

Interesting viewpoint - just think, these plants could have a diabolical plan - BUT they need us too much for our extinction - BUT, I had no idea we were so controlled..... :@

Not just the plants Candy, the planet itself has a set plan. i have already written about it in some post a couple of years ago

Thanks Tweetey, I don't think we can make it to the airport today. We've been laying low and avoiding crowds until Stagg gets a bit better.

Gardenia, Michael Pollan is one of my fave writers. He is quite funny in the program with a dry wit of sorts. He's funny when he talks about the sex life of marijuana plants.

Rauf, I am very much with you on that...we are a small part of life on the planet. I've never understood the notion that humans are a superior life form. What a bizarre concept.
