Ok have to admit I am picky when it comes to my veggies and I hate beets.. There is just this horrible taste to them. I dont care how much doctoring you do to them... but glad you enjoyed..

Oh they were amazing!

mmm, I love beets! Had them as part of my dinner, actually :-) with smoked tofu, carrots, brown rice, broccoli and kale. YUM!

The greens look tempting, but I've never liked beets. Maybe I could substitute something for them?

Janet, smoked tofu? Wow that sounds good!

X-Dell, I was trying to think of something one could replace beets with-sweet potatoes? My sister makes an amazing warm kale salad w/ goat cheese and pork and pecans...maybe that would be better for those who don't eat beets?

Hi-ya

I'll try to post the warm kale salad soon. It is great, although soon to be out of season here!

Yipee, spring is here, soon it will be asparagus salad!

Most of the cherry blossoms have blown off before I could take some snapshots.

Isn't that weird, I wondered if I mentioned you...you might show up. Your ears must have been burning! I LOVE that warm kale salad.

Is Canada going crazy with that crazy freak Ann Coulter? I can't believe the Ottawa students blocked her from speaking. Calgary will probably get on their knees and make wild passionate right wing love to her.

They seemed pretty happy to see her in Calgary.

I'm questioning why they needed to make such a big deal, she really comes across as such a ... low grade sensational radio host.

Or a really, really bad comedien.

I meant a big deal in ottawa...for that matter, it seems a university would actually invite her to speak.
