Cat Blogger Needs Advice

The late great Naplam. Oh I loved this guy. He had the best personality. On hot days he would look for a sink to cool down in. He had some bad habits too. He was so loveable. Just looking at these pictures chokes me up, he died at 12 years old in 2003.

Recently a really sweet cat blogger found their way over here during a Thursday Thirteen...and they are having a challenge with their cat using a litter box. I know a lot of pals here have cats...maybe there are some ideas? I know some of you have cats who stubbornly don't use the facilities...so I am linking his blog. It's a lovely blog with gorgeous photos of cats...unlike my bathroom reno photos ha...

A cat loving blogger needs some insight, help or ideas...

We have tried everything with our cat who looks just like Napalm. She is incorrigible. She will pee in a litter box, but prefers to poop on the floor right beside it. At times she's helped herself to the carpet, lining it up neatly against the wall until discovered. I have tried everything except hiring a cat psychiatrist and sewing her butt shut. I've tried a powdered litter box "cat attractant." Every type of litter in existence. Caging her with box inside beside her bed. Keeping her in bathroom unless I'm right there to watch her. Putting her outside at night when she does the worst damage. (She saves it for coming back in.) She has an eating disorder and never quits eating, so her output is prolific. But if was going to sign this, I would sign it - "from Desperate." My sympathies to your blogger friend.

Naplam is such a cutie. And the name is cool: almost Napalm; almost Nam Pla (fish sauce). It's always tough seeing those old pix, even after many years...

I'm a cat blogger, too -- that is, my cats blog :-D -- and one of my cats commented in that Thursday Thirteen thread (Chairman Mao)! :)

Your Napalm was precious. And I hear you on the love we have for precious kitties -- my four are like my kiddos.

You have a nice blog here! I will be saving this page to my favorites for sure. I just visited a site with great articles and products on doggles! If nothing else it’s a great read. Check it out if you have time. Thanks.
