While this may be a bit extreme, let me say that my mom's famous meatloaf recipe calls for covering the meatloaf with strips of bacon, then basting it with Heinz chili sauce (it has to be the store-bought stuff) before baking...and let me say it rocks the free world.
Actually, that's a bacon lattice and I stuffed a pork loin with sausage and latticed the whole thing with bacon for my Solstice meal in December! It was spectacular!
