Last year I took a photo of this architectural salvage place. The other day I noticed they had sawed up the gothic church pires...likely for shippping purppses.
Then yesterday while I was working the studio..I heard an awful noise...grinding steel.
what happened was, a truck and it's driver misjudeged their distance and drove right into the fire escape...it ripped into the roof of the truck...about six feet. Lodged the truck was stuck.
All day yesterday and today the "jaws of life" freed the truck roof and eventually took apart the fire escape. I took some photos. Hot stuff for the fans of fire fighters...whooo hooo!
(notice how swerved the side of the truck is the walls of truck all bent from the fire escape stairs wrenching...)
I can't believe you guys aren't more freaked out about LSD, nutirtion and god....
My guess is that the spires were once, way back when, in separate bits anyway, no? In your original pic, you can see that there are lines all around. Maybe they were made in pieces to make for easier manoeuvring.

I remember this reclamation yard, it's the one you can see from your window, right? Nice job on the fire escape... what a dunderhead of a driver!
