Announcement

I am pleased to announce I have been granted an interview with curator David Moos at The Art Gallery of Ontario. I have seen dozens of exhibits over twenty years and I was contracted to execute a Sol LeWitt mural with three other artists last Spring at the AGO. David Moos has already received my questions and the interview will be published by end of next week. I hope some of you will find this of interest and come back for a visit.

This is so excellent, Candy. Thanks for the email, too. I think there are some hugely salient points in there. I look forward to reading the interview.

Wow... that is fabulous Candy! I was by last night poking around your sites. They are wonderful! I love the wallpaper. I use to paint fabric by the yard a few years back. I wish you well with the interview.

cheers!

Keep me posted on the Moos AGO thing - I have a love hate relationship with that place, ultimately wishing it would do better and well for itself, but wondering if the same budget would be better spent on more, smaller art exhibiting and art education institutitons. I've exhibited there once, actually in the attached Grange. I plan to add my blood to the concrete mix as part of Kantor's action. My mommy gave me a membership to it one year, and I've loved the slacker Wednesdays as a hump-day diversion for the poor. Still, couldn't they hire someone to dust - stop with the retard blockbuster exhibitions - and get shows moving through a bit faster? Zsa Zsa got more press than the AGO! Says something doesn't it.

Well hello Leif, my goodness I love all that you've just said here and I'm roaring with laughter.

You know what I would have done as far as renovating the AGO...just have artists decorate the outside of the building once a year. Draw names out of the telelphone book of the public for a"jury" to curate the show...get artists to send in photos of work they'd like to make on the outside of the building and just keep rotating the jury and the art every year.

Simple, dynamic and fun!

Plus, cost effective and community based and relevant!!!

But, no one asked me heh heh!
