You must be familiar with Doris Wishman too. (The little Jewish munchkin grandma of the grindhouse, and director of Chesty Morgan's most enduring films.)
I will probably go see Grindhouse because I have a secret desire to have a leg (on a really fab body), a leg that is really an automatic weapon, to get even with everyone who has ever crossed me up. Yahooooooooooooooooo
i am confused. is this one film split into two, that is called grindhouse? or two films showing together at a place called the grindhouse? please explain to a dumb english guy. pretty please.
L.M yes I know Chesty Morgan all right and Wishman...but I didn't know Wishman was the most prolific female director ever. Makes sense though. I had a mis-spent youth on these kinds of films...sneaking into drive-ins in small town Canada.
Yeah, Tim this should be fun.
Gardenia, I would imagine your nurse daughter would have a kind of blacj honour that would enjoy going with you to this/these films.
Cappy, maybe these cheap explotation double bills are a North American phenomenon...often playing at drive-in movies. Seedy thetres in small towns or in scary neighbourhoods in urban settings. You would see a couple of films in one setting for one low price. "grind" may partly refer to pumping out film quickly and cheaply. The movie often had motorcycles, counterculture types and a little nudity...and complete gratuitous violence.
*(asterisk) I will go check that out!
Red, I know these kinds of things arenot everyone's cup of tea. Variety is the spice of life and all of us are different!
Four Dinners, good one, my god, she is doing very well in Dancing With The Stars. I wanted to hate Heather Mills, she even looks like a villian all nervous and shifty on camera...but sheesh...she is a trooper. And I think some of the press we've heard about her split with McCArthy must be B.S. because he sent her fowers before her first dance with good luck message.

Gotta see that!
These aren't too subtly sublimal, no?

Thanks for that, Candy. It was er... educational. I think I'll pass.

Go check out the latest posts at Lazy Eye Theatre (see the link on my movie-review site). He's doing a six-part review of his Grindhouse experience!
Did you know, for example, that there is a missing reel from each of the two features?! Crazy!
Maybe McCartney'd better not wind up Heather too far 'case she gets in with Tarantino. Now that's what I call a prosthetic!!

I really want to see this. Looks like a great time!
I'm looking forward to this... wonder what the chances are of it showing up on the AAFES circuit? I don't think it would be the same on DVD.
