Pub Hopping
The river was dyed green for St.Paddy's Day. Andrew's in town from New York, what a cold gorgeous sunny day we enjoyed.
Standing with the heads of industry.
Ladies, this is Marco. He is single and works every night here at the Billy Goat Tavern except Saturdays and Mondays. Made the best vodka and tonic I've had in ages.
This is the place that inspired the sketch on Saturday Night Live, "cheeseborger cheeseborger, cheeseborger". I guess when the orginal cast from Second City Comedy was in Chigago they must have come here...lots of press people have made this place their lunch time hangout...Roger Ebert included.
Take note, ladies, Marco has talents, he took this photo for us.
Andrew was taken by the beat cop on the Segway, we stopped to visit. We were on our way, between drink stops, to find me a copy of Barefoot In The Park with Jane Fonda and Robert Redford. It was on tv, as we left the house and I was laughing so hard, I said we gotta get a copy. (more on that later)
He is showing off and doing spins. He can moonwalk. He fell when he first was assigned the beat, and broke both his wrists, was in recovery for four months!
I asked the cruiser cop, "Be honest, you all are really embarassed by the Segway cops right?" He laughed and said" I was at first, but now I'm okay with it. They are great in a crowd and people really respond to them."
Football is a religion here, see the Budweiser tap handle is a football player in brass.

How realistic is it for the cops to be on the Segways (or whatever they're called)? Can they go fast enough to outrun someone on foot? I didn't think they went very fast. Looks like you guys had a great time. The shot of the three of you taken by Marcus made your friend look a bit like (at least to me) Jon Voigt. Cool.
Looks like you had FUN!!!
Great pics!
Cracked up at the 'cheeseboiger' line. We are seriously dating ourselves on that one, Ms Minx!
"I can't make a fist!" Barefoot in the Park is great -- Redford at his best, I reckon. And Jane Fonda was so cute!
I love the beat cop on the Segway -- I can't take anybody who chooses that form of travel seriously though! I think it's because when I first heard about the Segway, it was on Frasier, with Niles scooting around on one. First impressions are hard to shake off...
Looks like a fun day!
D'oh! I was going to do a "can't make a fist" comment. Damn you, Red. You're in deep trouble, girlfriend!
Looks like lots of fun being had there, Candy Minx.
