I was surfing tv late last night and almost fainted when I found Prince on PBS. I couldn't believe it...and had no idea that this interview happened back in April. Luckily I caught the show right when it started and was able to record it...you can watch the whole interview here at PBS
Oh my god...I wannna hang out with Cornel West, Tavis Smiley and Prince!!@!!!!
Prince says he shows Dick Gregory's State Of The Black Union to all his friends when they come over...especially the white folks....so I've included a bit of Dick Gregory here too...
And here are some excerpts kicking around the internet...
Here's a good question. How come a nine year old kid can find a heroin dealer but a cop can't?

The answer to your question is clearly that the kid wants to find the dealer.
You can bet that the cops are measured on other priorities. For instance, at King and Atlantic in Toronto, every day during the rush hour periods, is against the law for drivers to turn left from King onto Atlantic. There are generally anywhere between 2 and 6 police, including sometimes police on horseback handing out tickets. They get a lot of customers even though the no-turn rule is well signed.
Isn't that lovely.
Another mystery solved by "follow the money".
Harumph.
Now there are some faces I haven't seen in a loooong time. Good to know they're still kicking.
Hey Sme, yeah theres no Tavis Smiley in Canada huh? I was surprised when I first saw him and started watching his show.
