I Love Her Bare Feet...
Sing along?
I've heard there was a secret chord
that David played, and it pleased the Lord
But you don't really care for music, Do you?
It goes like this, the fourth, the fifth
The minor Fall, The major lift,
The baffled king composing, hallelujah
Hallelujah, Hallelujah
Hallelujah, Hallelujah
Your faith was strong but you needed proof
You saw her bathing on the roof
Her beauty in the moonlight overthrew you
She tied you to a kitchen chair, she broke your throne
she cut your hair and from your lips she drew the halleujah
Hallelujah, Hallelujah
Hallelujah, Hallelujah
Maybe I've been here before
I know this room, I've walked this floor
I used to live alone before I knew you
I've seen your flag on the marble arch
love is not a victory march
it's a cold and it's a broken Hallelujah
Hallelujah, Hallelujah
Hallelujah, Hallelujah
There was a time you let me know
What's real and going on below
but now you never show it to me, do you?
And remember when I moved in you
the holy dove was moving too
And every breath we drew was Hallelujah
Hallelujah, Hallelujah
Hallelujah, Hallelujah
Maybe there's a God above
And all I ever learned from love
Was how to shoot at someone who outdrew you
It's not a cry you can hear at night
It's not somebody who's seen the light
it's a cold and it's a broken Hallelujah

Beautiful. She has the purest voice on the planet.
Yeah, did ya notice the applause? Kinda cute. I basically seem to love all the versions (Rufus, Buckley, Crow, and of course, Cohen) of this song...but this one is really special. There is something about this song, the pacing, the lyrics that probably anyone with a fair voice it will be moving. But I do love her voice for this one.
K.D. has one of the best voices of out time. So unique and so very underrated. Thanks for sharing this Candy.
Christ...I thought for one awful moment you were replaying the bloody X-Factor!
Mind you the bird who won and released her version of this could sing a bit. A bit.
Hi Candy,
This is such a lovely cover. I also love her cover of whats his names song...umm, you know, Canadian fella, really famous, think he is american now...honestly, he's a music icon.
Whats his name?
PS I have actually posted. Took me fricken hours.
Can you post Katie singing whats his names song...its the prairie song, one of the lines is about the shadow of a hawk over the grass. Oh my god, my memory is shot.
PS
In the world of games I'm half chinese checkers and half boogle.
The answers and I didn't fit, so I went twice to figure out which ones I fit in between!
Okay, it's Neil Youngs "Helpless" also an amazing cover version. Coming right up...
