Searching For Robert Johnson

I've been meaning to send Mister Anchovy this article I cut out of November's Vanity Fair. I've been procrastinating and the cut out article is taking up real estate on the kitchen table...it occurred to me tonight it might be online...at Vanity Fair dot com.

Interesting article, more I guess about legacies and collectors than about the performer I guess. Robert Johnson had such a profound effect on the blues-based rock music in the 60s - remarkable really. Although I know all of his recordings very well (there aren't that many cuts), curiously enough, he isn't a bluesman I listen to all that much these days.

Great article, I enjoyed it and learned a bit about who has the rights to Robert Johnson's images.

Thanks for posting this! For some reason my grocery store is always out of VF, so I missed this entirely. Johnson is such an influential and enigmatic figure, it's easy to understand why so many folks are obsessed...
