So fun to get to the major show of "From A to Be and Back Again" at the Art Institute of Chicago. Stagg and I have seen most of the pices here and we have seen a lot of blockbuster exhibits or collections of Warhol over the past ten years....but its always good to see a new perspective. There were quite a few drawings and paintings from private collections I had not seen so that was a thrill.
INTERVIEW was one of the most fun magazines. Warhol's creation was the shit and his covers.
It's also amazing to see his work in person because the wholesomeness and raw art of it is so surprising. They are more "handmade" than one would guess through tr[toductions.
Pir friend Monica joned us and we had a terrific discussion afterwards over coffeee.
