That's right. I got a Chicago library card today. I'm so excited. I ordered up a couple of books. I took out two dvds, one Felini's Amarcord and Orson Welles F For Fake in the Criterion Collection. Sweet.
Talking library cards I was just telling Jeff today i wanted to pay my library fee off and get my library card back.. I miss going to the library and getting things... I love reading and renting movies... Its so much fun..
oooh, I love the library too. Take the boys about every three weeks. One gatheres dozens of books, the other goes into the play are a lobs giant foam blocks around. He'll come 'round one day.
And I get my fix of cheesy novels that I refuse to pay for. It is excellent!
Well, the library card is extra fun for me because I wasn't able to get one here before. It is beginning to feel a lot more cozy. Before I was just an foreigner in a foreign country. No library card allowed. It feels awesome to be able to use the library at last!
We used to have libraries over here but they were too expensive for the local councils who had to spend their budget on immigrants from Somalia etc....now we have two I think as opposed to 5....
hey I rented amarcord from my library just a few months ago! funny! I get a good look at our library's DVD selection because I volunteer putting our DVDs. And I have a regular table I use for writing a couple of times per week after work...
Where does Beej live? They're hiring library staff?

Oh, I love libraries. In fact, our city isabout to build a huge, beautiful new library and I'm thinking of applying for a job there.
Yay! My library card is the most frequently used item in my wallet ;0)

I don't use my library card enough... I remember as a teenager that was how I discovered people like Kurt Vonnegut. Now where the hell is mine?
Libraries rule. Sadly, mine can't get hold of any monographs of painter Francisco Pacheco del Rio :(
I've not seen Amarcord or F For Fake. Enjoy!
