Flowers and Deer In Toronto

Welll..my cell phone does not provide a lot of detail but on our walk on the Don River a couple of days ago...we saw two deer. They were just grazing away....honest...there are two deer in each of these wooded photos...we also saw tons of wild flowers a rabbit, lots of birds, warblers, hawks...a great walk. It really makes a difference when you take your time and look at the city and country...instead of rushing everywhere like most city folks...

You are so lucky that you have seen them. I am happy that somebody is still writing about these hidden parts of Toronto. Maybe it is a quality of pictures but I didn’t find them. Working as a realtor in some Toronto neighbourhoods I will sure use them to attract some customers to this part. :-)

Looks like a beautiful walk. Parts of the Don Valley are really lovely, but there is a long way to go still to clean up that river. I'm heading down to Pennsylvania after work today. I'm going to camp at the top of a deep valley, with seven miles of river to explore. There are plenty of deer there too, and lots of wild turkeys, and I'm told it is prime rattlesnake country as well.

Beautiful pictures, Candy. I spend a lot of time in the mountains, hiking (I joke, "When I'm not writing, I'm hiking"), and it's tremendously enriching, invigorating, and helps me feel much more at peace. Charges me up creatively, too!

Lucky duck to see a deer! We have deer in our woods, and hubby and I have seen plenty of prints on the trails, but no actual deer sighting yet.

And oh, the wildflowers are gorgeous -- they're springing up everywhere (pun intended ;) )!
