I am not crazy about big stores. But...because the store above is empolyee owned I was excited to go and check it out. It's such a big store...I don't know if this picture will capture it. You might have to click on it to see how strangely huge this store is...my hands were sore after we walked around from pushing the cart so far...and my feet hurt! But it was very interesting, like visiting another planet. A planet with a lot of cheese! I was really impressed that this store had one of the biggest organic sections I've ever seen. I got lots of amazing Wisconsin organic cheese and yogourt for even more amazing prices. Mmm...yogourt...
Interesting concept, Candy. How about some more details on that store? Where is it located? How is it set up? Are the owners only in the retail food business or is it more of a cooperative store run or supported by producers?
Oh yes, I see I've left out a lot of details. We're a little under the weather around here so I'm not going to be online much...but here is a review and the Wiki page...
Stagg is knocked out...we've had a rough nightt, he was at hospital but he's okay now and sleeping well. He's got prescriptions and going to be resting for a few days. He's caught a bug but he's going to be okay. I'm trying to track down an acupuncturist and a specialist...and kept coming online to research. I had this post in drafts a couple days ago and just posted it so I didn't leave a super heavy previous post up untouched for a couple days. Stagg is resting but we got such a scare...I am still with adrenaline and not able to sleep. I'm watching bad tv and thought if I went online it might be a diversion. So it's going to be quiet around here for a couple days. Nurse Candy will check in later...
Thanks guys, I read your messages out to Stagg. He's doing okay just uncomfortable. He's sleeping well though and has an acupuncture appointment tomorrow. He's catching up on his Chicago history documentaries on tv and that is always a good thing and a good sign!
yes i can't see the other end Candy, its huge, must be tough for older people. Employees owned is a good concept. Hope it is a success, and hope they give the giants a run for the money
Candy this amazingly huge store looks like a Woodman's Grocery Store.. LOL.. I was just out there yesterday getting things for us after I worked my eight hours for the week.. LOL..
I get lost in big stores. Caz once sent me to one. Three hours later she drove down there - I'd left mobiley at home accidentally.
It took them an hour to find me.
I was at the delecatesin (no idea how you spell it) counter. They were giving away free samples. I'd been there over two hours eating free samples...mmmmmmmmm
Big stores are dangerous according to Caz. I am banned.

Ouch! I wish Stagg a speedy recovery. Sorry things aren't going well.
I am sorry to hear about Stagg. Hope he gets better soon.

Stagg is lucky to have such a devoted caregiver.
Stagg, rest up and drink plenty of fluids. I'm sure Nurse Candy has already told you that.
