Excellent film review of The One Percent about class today by Jamie Johnson(heir to Johnson and Johnson, see some rich folks do use their superpowers for good!)

And just in case you missed this essay from old Discover magazine first time around here we go again...Jared Diamond, his documentary is replaying on pbs right now, Guns Germs and Steel.

We need to keep talking about these things, and spending our consummer dollars on things that support our ethics. Of course we are not going to quit shopping, our nature is to consume...but we are free to consume in all manners and ways. Lets put our time and money where our ethics and compassion reside. I have a tough time feeling sorry for people against the Iraq War, all they have to do is put their car in the garage. Kaput, your voice will be heard chicken shits. Maybe one time people will have the guts to take a risk and live by their hearts?

When will people learn that they can't BUY love and happiness? We have a lot of friends that own much and work all the time to pay for it. They have NO family time, and their kids are raised by daycare workers. *sigh*

Serenity is the reward for getting off the "fast track"!

Oh hi thanks for stopping by and your comments are so appropriate and right on. I think people are afraid they think oh to help culture and nature I have to change and give up everything. No no it's just going to be different, like WAY more time on your hands way more fun...and the knowledge that everyone benefits ffom living thin and sharing and taking care of the whole "household".

Hey Candy -
very nice to meet a fellow gnostic.
thank you for all your props on my site. your last note on the "St. James Inirmary" tracks totally inspired me to get back to blogging.

man, makes me feel pretty damn cool to get all the attention.
i'm gonna put up some more "Infirmary" covers for you.
when i posted, i think i had collected like 33.
i'm up into the 80s now.

Hi well, welcome. Now I see your name. You know when I go blog surfing I rarely look at anyones profile. I like to "feel" a blog ha ha. I just see what grabs me and it didn't occur to read your bio...just your posts and I was hooked. Now I see your fascinating life wow, I think you might even have me beat for eccentric and alternative!!!I seriously almost moved into an ashram a long time ago. I would have driven everybody crazy so it's a good thing I didn't but it sounds like we have a spiritual education in common. thanks so much fro stopping by and I hope others read your awesome movie reviews.
